Hey! It’s me, Patty! Although my last name is Jones (again), most folks will remember me as Patty Drake, once part of Drake & Kids Racing.

I have lived in the San Diego area my whole life and have been involved in some kind of racing my whole adult life. Drag racing, stock car racing, off road, street rods. I was always in the pits, under the hood or in the garage, and never one to sit in the bleachers or be on the sidelines.

I picked up sheet metal work 20 or so years ago, always paying attention to what the fellas were up to in the shop. I have a natural mechanical ability, worked in drafting and a machine shop atmosphere for more than 25 years. Wow, that’s telling my age, isn’t it? I was dubbed “Sheet Metal Patty” by the pit crew of a dear friend, Dennis, while working on his off road truck.

I have done work on a wide variety of cars, everything from a simple dash board to complete interiors, firewalls, wheel tubs, fan shrouds, door panels and air boxes. I work mostly with aluminum, but am experienced with steel also. Photos of projects will be added to this site in the near future.

My large, secure shop is located in Lemon Grove, where I have worked for the last ten years.
